PROJECT OVERVIEW

Design a new website to reflect Nicoll Entertainment's fun and playful personality and specialist status within their industry.

With a fast turnaround time, the website would showcase theatre productions, provide news and promote the business's various social media channels.

Like with so many projects in theatre we were supplied with a logo, colour palette, imagery and an open brief to start mockups.

Our intention was to design a website with a rich colour palette, with quirky animations and page transitions so as to leave a lasting impression with those users that visited it, whilst fulfilling their needs for information on upcoming theatre productions.

Logo branding and homepage design

A pastel colour palette was chosen with a complimentary round and friendly typeface that reflected the letterforms in their logo.

The logo was converted from a vector image into an SVG that could be scaled and animated in all screen resolutions.

We then added personality by hatching the dinosaur from the egg which added delight and entertained visitors.

The mockups reflected the personality of the company which was colourful and full of life but also established as specialists within the industry.

The imagery was selected specifically that was relevant to the brand, showcasing real cast members from the shows and puppetry whom Nicoll Entertainment production team was renowned for.
